The Hair & Makeup Artist Network and United Breast Cancer Foundation Teaming Up

LOS ANGELES, October 19, 2009 | SHOOT Publicity Wire | --- The Hair & Makeup Artist Network (HMAN) is teaming up with The United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) this October to lift the spirits of women affected by breast cancer. UBCF is committed to making a possitive difference in the lives of those afflicted with this deadly disease. UBCF financially supports a variety of programs dedicated to breast cancer screening and prevention, treatment, patient health, and well-being.

The Hair & Makeup Artist Network is the first networking organization for Hair & Makeup Artists by Hair & Makeup Artists. Their goal is to support the freelance artists by providing them with business education, resources and networking opportunities. As much as 85% of their organization is comprised of women. Because breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, HMAN is taking an active approch in raising awareness for those affected by breast cancer.

HMAN has joined foreces with the UBCF to provide those women afflicted with breast cancer a day of pampering. Each participant will receive a massage and a makeover. The event will take place on October 25, 2009 at the Mothership Salon in Los Angeles. Local and national media are invited to attend. The day of pampering will be followed by a "Pink Carpet" Cockatil Reception with proceeds from the reception benefiting the UBCF.

En pocas palabras es un evento pro cancer, donde los artistas junto a algunas organizaciones apoyan a las mujeres afectadas con cancer de seno (ya que es la segunda causa de muerte en USA), las apoyan finacieramente para promover programas de prevencion, tratamiento y salud del paciente.
